If the game is now delayed, we might be looking at something closer to 2030. Currently, the most realistic release date seems to be 2025. GTA VI has been in active development for years the only reason we hadnt heard anything is that Rockstar wasnt ready to announce it, but the leaks have shown. Obviously, Rockstar is walking a fine line here, since some already consider GTA 6 to be long overdue. Apparently, the game has been delayed even more and is in development hell.
Especially the latter is interesting, since it seems to suggest GTA 6 should be delayed. GTA 6 is going to be the slowest sequel in the history of gaming. There you have it, but just in case you can't see the tweet, or don't want to believe it, I'll repeat the pain: The GTA 6 development is super chaotic, the game might end up disappointing, and if it is announced early, it's a problem. Some people don't realize how chaotic the development is. Now the leaker claims to know that GTA 6 is in development hell, which goes hand-in-hand with rumors about GTA 6 that we reported on a while back. AccNGT correctly predicted what came to pass, so he's earned himself some credibility.
